CHRIS Holder is looking to make a triumphant start to his King’s Lynn career when he teams up with Robert Lambert in tonight’s Premiership Pairs at Somerset.

The 2012 world champion was the club’s headline winter signing and his partnership with British international Lambert makes them one of the favourites.

They are up against Rye House, Poole and Leicester in the meeting which is set to pull in a bumper crowd as British Speedway’s first major event of the year.

Stars co-promoter and British Speedway chairman Keith Chapman said: “This is a great way to start the season and with my King’s Lynn hat on it would be great to see Chris and Robert win it.

“It would be the perfect boost ahead of our opening meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena next week.”

The Trucks R Us Stars take on newly promoted Somerset in their first SGB Premiership fixture next Wednesday at 7.30.
