KING’S Lynn will head to Leicester with a patched-up team tonight (7.30).

The Trucks R Us Stars are without a number of riders due to fixture clashes but will nonetheless look to add to their SGB Premiership points tally at Beaumont Park.

New recruits Josh Auty and Michael Palm Toft are both riding for Scunthorpe, whilst Thomas Jorgensen is in action for Workington and Tomas H Jonasson has a prior commitment.

They were also dealt a further blow with the battered and bruised Robert Lambert ruling himself out after his crash in heat 15 of Wednesday’s defeat to Swindon.

Former Leicester rider Jason Garrity steps in against his former club with a point to prove, whilst Ulrich Ostergaard, Dan Bewley and Kent youngster Jack Thomas also make guest appearances.

It means Kai Huckenbeck is one of just two remaining Stars riders in their side – but he insists he will give it his all as they look for a positive result.

Said Huckenbeck: “Leicester can be a tough place to go, and we have a few riders missing so it will be pretty tough.

“But I’ll try my hardest like I do every meeting, and hopefully after riding there recently I should have a good setup to start off with.

“I’ll see if I can score some points and help the rest of the team to get the best result possible.”

Meanwhile, Leicester have been boosted by Lasse Bjerre passing a late fitness test with a knee injury.

They include Josh Grajczonek and Todd Kurtz to guest for injured duo Kim Nilsson and Kyle Newman.

LEICESTER: Josh Grajczonek, Erik Riss, Lasse Bjerre, Pawel Przedpelski R/R, Danny King, Todd Kurtz, Josh Bates.
KING’S LYNN: Jason Garrity, Michael Palm Toft R/R, Jack Thomas, Ulrich Ostergaard, Kai Huckenbeck, Dan Bewley, Simon Lambert.
